Ninja Gaiden Final Boss HD - Old TV Screen Version by Billysan291 Ninja Gaiden Final Boss HD - Old TV Screen Version by Billysan291
This started out as me just drawing a Jaquio to thrown into the background of something I was making but it ended up getting so detailed that it required it's own HD wallpaper complete with background.

Ryu is the same Ryu I made for the other Ninja Gaiden HD wallpaper but I did clean him up a little.

Figure I'd make a version in it's original 4:3 TV sized ratio along with HUD.

Here's the ultra big version.

There are some memories personified. The Jaquio handed me my @$$ too many times to accurately recall... the only way I ever beat him was by getting there while I had a jump/slash power-up (the blue one icon with the spiral line in it), which was difficult in itself to retain, obtained about mid way through the last stage if memory serves me correct. On another, tangential/irrelevant note, I had the Nes Advantage, and remember using the jump away-towards, trick on the walls many times in succession to basically 'climb' the walls,' super hard with a regular controller, cake with the arcade style stick featured in the advantage. I still own this came, the box, and manual, and even have the little styrofoam block used as a spacer packaged under the game(and black dust sleeve) itself. IMO, this is one of the all time great NES games, and a solid choice for such homage. Extra props for the 4:3 simulated, old school box-top set, standard def tv... we needed to disconnect the atari and use the RF adapter if we wanted any NES. That really hit the nostalgia nail, and inadvertently brought a smile to my face. I thank-you for that.

I am sure better compliments exist, but I am at a loss for one at this time. All of those tangential, and completely random thoughts came to me in the blink of an eye. All because of the power of a piece of art.. . .

Mad props for your skills.

Last, because I must inquire... I am sure request come by the dozen, and I have a deep love with some some deep roots with the Nes. As a matter of fact, although I'm not proud, I got busted skipping school in second grade (the only time I skipped until college) to jam on Mario and Ice Climber; mentioned only to validate my aforementioned claim. Anyway, back to it -> do you happen to have anything - or any plans - in the way of Gradius, Life Force, or perhaps even a Simon Belmont vs. Medusa (or the Grim Reaper) from Castlevania by chance? I simply had to inquire... I am practically drooling about the potential there...

Regards~

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

I have half a Castlevania picture finished right now. It's from the Genesis game though. The Grim Reaper and Medusa boss fight do sound interesting though.

Gradius would also be cool and it be something different for me. I'll have to see what I'm in the mood for.
